Comcast and OLN
I just moved to Cambridge and signed up for Comcast cable. I lived all summer without a TV and missed the Tour de France. Back when I had a TV I got cable so that I could watch bike racing on OLN. In Arlington Comcast had OLN. And in Somerville. But in Cambridge apparently we have home shopping instead. So I called and complained. But here is the kicker. Lance Armstrong does an ad for Comcast about how they are taking over New England. Do I have a choice? Not for cable. I might have to do Direct TV like some of my other Cambridge friends who need to watch the major tours. OLNs coverage is awesome. They show the last two hours of every stage live for the Giro D'Italia, the TDF and the Vuelta D'Espana. In fact, I'm missing the Vuelta now. And they cover lots of races in the US. I think that Lance should stop endorsing them until they cover his race in every city!
I have to say that after three months without TV I'm kind of sorry I went back. There is really nothing on. Except bike racing, which isn't even on.
